I'm in the market for a tablet. What kind do you think I should get? The iPad is so expensive, and I'm not sure it's worth the extra money. My parents have a Google Nexus, but my Mom says she can't open attachments and read them on that. I'm interested in what you guys think.

I wish I could tell you about it, down and lonely.  But, I am a technophobe and have trouble learning how to use my HTC Desire phone.

I don't have a tablet.  I have looked at them, but have no clue what is the best one for the money.  I need to look around a bit though.  I think my laptop is getting ready to bite the dust.

I don't know, Down. I'm still using a desktop.  :giggle: My daughter likes her iPad.

Maybe make a list what you want to do with it and focus on that when deciding if the tablets has all the right features.

I think I will just go to Best Buy and try some out. The crowdsourcing hasn't worked, because everyone has a different opinion. I'm kind of leaning toward the Windows Surface though. It has full Office and is cheaper than the iPad.

I've seen the commercials for that and it looks good.

Yeah, I've seen the one where it compares it to the iPad.

Before buying any tablet or product, I would read the product reviews to make sure if any of the disadvantage or advantages would affect me.

I don't really know what the fuss is about Kindle.  They don't seem to have any color and so it makes feel like reading feel bland to me.  I like colors and pictures.

What I liked about the Kindle was it was like a book. You could read it in the sun without glare, and it doesn't hurt your eyes like staring at a computer screen.

Well, I decided to get an iPad 2. That's an older model of iPad, so it's less expensive. I found a used one on ebay for $290, and it just arrived today. I've played around with it a little and am liking it so far.
